On June 12, 2001, the City Council enacted ordinance 17691 which adopts by reference the 2000 version of Standard Traffic Ordinance for Kansas Cities (STO). The ordinance was published and takes effect today, June 20, 2001.

The 2000 version has a green cover. All prior STO versions are obsolete and should be discarded.

The Council also enacted ordinance No. 17692 which deletes and modifies certain STO sections. A table summarizing the effects of adoption of these two Ordinances follows:
