    On October 2, 2001, the City Council enacted ordinance 17726 that adopts by reference the 2001 version of Standard Traffic Ordinance for Kansas Cities (STO). The ordinance was published and takes effect October 31, 2001.

    The 2001 version has a red cover. All prior STO versions are obsolete and should be discarded.

    The Council also enacted ordinance No. 17744 that deletes and modifies certain STO sections. A table summarizing the effects of adoption of these two Ordinances follows:
